The shop

In 2016, Oscar Sr. opened a small bike shop across the street from where we are today, on the same road. He had raced back in Chile and had been riding and running his whole life. The shop was the natural end of all that, a place to spend his days around the thing he loved.

He ran it his own way, and it worked. Customers he knew by name and by bike. A room where nobody felt out of place for not knowing what a derailleur was.

His son grew up around it, worked four years at his side, then left to learn the trade properly. Six years at other shops, starting on the bench and ending up running them. He came back at the beginning of 2026 and took over the shop his father built.

Oscar Jr. has brought his own methods to it. The bikes go out the same way they always have, with a little more behind the scenes.

What he did not touch is the thing his father built.

"The most important thing is that when people come into the store, they feel welcome, and they don't feel talked down to. That's not something you can pay for, or contract from a service. That's something you have to build, and my dad built it over the past ten years."
